Returning to work after maternity leave can be daunting for breastfeeding moms. To support and empower you we have put together a “Return to Work” class, catering to your unique needs. This class aims to address common concerns, such as managing pumping schedules, maintaining milk supply, and finding a breastfeeding-friendly work environment.
This class is geared to new and repeat parents alike and will discuss how to choose the proper car seat, how to place it in the vehicle (whether rear-facing or forward-facing), location of the seat in the vehicle, and proper installation (using LATCH or seatbelt) of the car seats. Class will include live demonstration with baby dolls in various types of car seats.
Should you be stocking up on lactation cookies and blue gatorade? Do you have to give up coffee, spicy foods, and have a perfect diet in order to breastfeed?
We’ll answer these hot topics, and talk about what supplements and foods might be helpful in nourishing you and your baby during the postpartum period, and beyond.
Breastfeeding is more successful when you have support, and we encourage you to include your support person(s) attend this free event to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week and the grand opening of our new location in North Bethesda.
This is a 60 minute class for parents or caregivers who are new to babywearing. We will cover babywearing safety, proper positioning, benefits of wearing, and comfort for both baby and wearer. All major types of carriers will demonstrated and pros and cons of each will be discussed.
